Ocular Health Screenings.

• Ocular health screenings go above and beyond the normal testing and use the most state of the art technology to capture 3D photos and imaging of the back of the eye. These tests allow us to see in much finer detail all the different layers of the retina and also allow us to perform a non-invasive angiography which gives us a closer look at the quality of perfusion or blood flow to the retina which can be really helpful in assessing diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Some of these screenings will also provide a perimetry test that allows us to assess peripheral visual function to a much higher degree and precision than routine tests of peripheral vision like confrontation fields which only use gross targets to determine functionality.

Comprehensive Eye Examination.

• A comprehensive eye exam is an in-depth assessment of both vision and ocular health. It includes a complete ocular and medical history and an overall review of systemic health. It tests visual acuity, intra-ocular pressure, depth perception, color vision, the pupillary response to light, peripheral vision, as well as examination of the external and internal ocular structures. This includes a dilated fundus examination that will assess the internal structures of the eye in order to help monitor or diagnose diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. In many cases this exam will also include a detailed refraction at far, intermediate, and near focal points in order to come up with an overall prescription that seeks to provide comfort and clarity of sight at all distances.

Comprehensive Eye Examination with Contact Lens Fitting.

• This examination includes everything the comprehensive exam does plus an in depth review of your daily visual demands, hobbies and how you plan to use your contact lenses. This also includes a measurement of the contours of the front of your eyes and an assessment of tear film and lid health in order to determine the best and most appropriate fit and style of lens for you.

We offer urgent care for minor injuries, red or pink eyes, minor foreign body removals, sudden onset of flashes or floaters, or for any sudden loss or change in vision.

We offer in office therapies or treatments such as heat therapy and red light therapy for patients with dry eye syndrome or meibomian gland dysfunction. These eye conditions can heavily impact quality of sight and overall comfort, especially in those who wear contact lenses.
